About This Game star ShelterStar shelter is one of the first VR games with classic survival mechanics. You're stranded in a mysterious graveyard of abandoned ships, the only way out is to repair a broken spaceship. You have to scavenge for materials and plants to repair and arm your spaceship.Keep your oxygen, power, and hunger in the green. Grow plants, build solar panels and other objects to generate what you need. Climb around the zero gravity but don't rely on your thrusters to much, they are fueled by the same oxygen you breathe. Scavenge the wreckages of spaceships and be wary of hazards.current Features: Randomly generated environments and spaceships. Use the crafting to build, arm and improve your Space station. Grow plants in your spaceship to generate oxygen and fruit. Voiced AI to guide you and keep you aware of hazards. Destructible/Repairable base, maintaining your spaceship is as important as eating. Not only is the movement very comfortable but the controls and feel of the game overall are really good. You are stranded in space and have to use thrusters to get around to salvage space junk to patch up your ship. It's pretty difficult and not everything is very clear yet but I can't wait to play more and try to figure out how to survice. Highly recommended!. The game is awesome. little bugs here and there just as any other EA game but nothing the devs wont look into right away, Trust me, I already know. I think I'm on their list of "oh brother ,what you need now, huh?" But Devs are very active and willing to solve any problem you might have. I think you'll enjoy it too.. A great VR game reminiscent of the 6DOF games of old. If you want survival, crafting and a measure of base building in VR, this is your title.. Fun and energetic for a VR game. better than most out there as it is more than just a shooter.. I wanted to like this game, survival in space! Zero G movement where you use your HANDS to move around the game! You can build your base from a tiny 2 room 1 hallway little safe haven into a space station with a hanger bay! Its a cool idea and even fun for a while, untill all of the plants you have collected that you need to survive suddenly disapear from your save or the game crashes in the middle of a run on a game that only seems to save when you quit, loseing everything you have collected up to that point. When you die, any items, gun mods and suit upgrades disapear from your safe haven and yourself makeing the whole plants disapearing out of nowhere even worse. The body it displays for your char is a little to far forward causing some problems but thats not all that bad itself unless it causes the game to wig out and try to sling you into deep space never to be seen again. dev team seems to be working fairly hard on it so it will probably get better with all of that but just be warned, the early access on the buy page isnt just for show haha.. A must have VR title. As others have said, like Subnautica, but in space. Well worth a tenner.. It's a fun game. Didn't get motion sickness. There are a few bugs, most fixed by going back to the main menu and then continuing your save file. 3 save slots for if you have friends who want to play without messing your game up. Some things you just have to figure out yourself, but none of them are difficult to do so. Dying doesn't set you back too far, you only lose your suit's inventory and upgrades.Well worth the price for the amount of enjoyment. I do wish it allowed 6DOF. Your body is set at one orientation.. This game is easily one of my favorite VR experiences, though it does have some glaring issues.A lot of people say this is like Subnautica in space but that makes no sense whatsoever, because this is absolutely nothing like Subnautica in any way. It would actually be way more accurate to say that this is a lot like Raft in space, the wreckages being like the materials floating in the water, and the abandoned\/broken down spaceships and spacestations being like the islands you occasionally float past.The biggest two issues I have is that there's no option to make the AI stop giving you tips about things, because it's incredibly annoying to hear the AI say to return to the station every time my oxygen is half empty, incredibly annoying to hear a lecture about growing food whenever my hunger is half empty, and incredibly annoying to get a lecture about where my materials go after I salvage something.The other issue is that it's too easy to open the helmet, as just grabbing the general area of the handle will make it open and this is incredibly easy to do on accident when trying to move around, and I've died multiple times by doing this in space while trying to move around on wreckages to salvage them. There should at least be a motion of pulling up the handle to open the helmet or something to make this happen way less.
